Position overview Salary range: The salary range for this position is $90,700.00- $196,680. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See the Professorial Series (Adjunct, Clinical X, HS Clinical, In Residence, Ladder Rank) and Professor of Teaching Series - Health Sciences Compensation Plan. This position may include membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Position description The University of California Irvine (UCI) Sue & Bill Gross Stem Cell Research Center (SCRC; www.stemcell.uci.edu) and School of Medicine (SOM, https://www.som.uci.edu) invite applications from outstanding candidates for 2 open faculty positions in stem cell biology. Successful candidates will have an active research program that has broad potential to impact or result in the development and/or translation of cellular therapies. Review of applications will prioritize research programs with broad relevance to the translation of cellular therapies for neurological disease/injury, cancer, and high-impact areas of human disease. Research programs that use or develop 2D or 3D stem cell culture platforms, novel approaches to the selection or monitoring of cell lines for clinical application, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) process development or cell production are of special interest.
These academic appointments are open to PHD, MD, or MD/PHD scientists. One position will be either tenure-track at the Assistant rank or tenured at the Associate Professor rank, the other will be a tenured position at the Associate or Full Professor rank, in an appropriate SOM department. Start-up package will be commensurate with appointment level.
