The Staff Research Associate I/II will provide research assistance for the Gaensler Laboratory in the Division of Hematology/Oncology, Department of Medicine. The research program in the Gaensler laboratory focuses on the application of genetic engineering strategies for the treatment of hematologic disorders, the development of stem cell transplantation approaches, and the design of immunotherapeutic strategies for the treatment of acute myelogenous leukemia. The position requires a background in breeding, screening, and surgery in mouse models and proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as cloning, isolation of DNA and RNA, PCR and RTPCR.
