We are seeking a Sr. Research Data Analyst who will primarily be responsible for developing state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence-based models to predict clinical outcomes using social determinants of health and clinical data. The position will be based in Baltimore City, Maryland. The Senior Research Data Analyst will also contribute to ongoing publications and conference presentations. The Senior Research Data Analyst will need to work closely with the Principal Investigator to complete the analysis in a timely manner.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Work in collaboration with scientists and core staff to address research questions involving the analysis of detailed clinical and social determinants of health data.
Develop artificial intelligence models to predict hospitalization and mortality.
Document work and data analyses, particularly through organized digital records of data set sources, file locations, and statistical and bioinformatics code.
Interpret and contextualize the results of statistical analyses.
Discuss with colleagues, investigators, and supervisor the need for any additional analyses and/or special methodological needs.
Clearly summarize and present findings at team meetings.
Prepare written reports of statistical analyses, including relevant statistical theory, references, methods, results, and conclusions to contribute to scientific publications.
Keep abreast of technical and academic advancements related to the methodology of statistical analyses.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's Degree in related discipline. Typically require PhD.
One year related experience. Require highly specialized advanced knowledge, education and/or training in a specialized field of study to conduct research.
Demonstrated ability on significant graduate project or additional doctoral education may substitute for experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
Five plus years of experience in clinical data analysis.
Experience using social determinants of health data for predictive modeling.
Prior experience working with large-scale clinical datasets.
R or Python programming proficiency (mastery preferred).
