Work will be done with an NIH funded project on development novel PAPP-A inhibitors and compounds targeting protein-protein interactions involved in regulating programmed cell death, apoptosis. In this position, you will be involved in designing, synthesis, optimizing synthetic process and characterization of novel synthesized small-molecule inhibitors with various analytical and preparative techniques including thin-layer chromatography, column chromatography, HPLC, NMR, LC-MS, IR, recrystallization. You will be also involved and have responsibilities on managing hazardous waste, organize chemical inventory, and searching scientific databases (Scifinder).
