Associate Research Scientist
The Department of Psychiatry at Columbia University is seeking to hire a Full Time Associate Research Scientist in the Division of Behavioral Medicine. A major goal for this position is to develop and apply mitochondrial science-inspired computational approaches to molecularly phenotype mitochondrial recalibrations (i.e., mitotyping) with high accuracy and sensitivity, and to deploy these new methods to address pressing questions that will help link mitochondrial biology and bioenergetics to the human experience. Existing and forthcoming immune, brain, and other datasets will be used to address these questions, and will involve generating new data from tissue culture experiments, and from ongoing clinical studies such as the MiSBIE and MD
