Hematology / Oncology Staff Research Associate I/II
The SRA I/II will provide research assistance for the Gaensler Laboratory in the Division of Hematology/Oncology, Department of Medicine. The research program in the Gaensler laboratory focuses on the application of genetic engineering strategies for the treatment of hematologic disorders, development of stem cell transplantation approaches, and for design of immunotherapeutic strategies for the treatment of acute myelogenous leukemia. The position requires a strong background in breeding, screening, and surgery in mouse models and proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as cloning, isolation of DNA and RNA, PCR and RTPCR. The incumbent should have experience with tissue culture of primary and established cell lines. Familiarity with gene therapy approaches using AA
