The Department of Biological Sciences seeks to recruit a faculty member with expertise in Applied Molecular Biology to lead an intensive, hands-on Master?s degree program. This is a non-tenure track, 9-month appointment with an opportunity for promotion to a more senior teaching position. The successful applicant will be expected to manage and teach a rigorous molecular biology laboratory at the graduate level, build collaborations with research faculty, mentor graduate students, and supervise individual laboratory-based projects; they may also teach or assist with other courses in molecular genetics, modern experimental approaches in biology, or computational methods at the upper-undergraduate or graduate level.

Salary Range: $52,000 - $66,000 commensurate with experience.
The above salary range represents the University?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
The successful applicant should have a Ph.D. degree with fluent knowledge of current molecular biology and protein-based techniques. Postdoctoral experience is preferred. Experience in college-level teaching, including laboratory courses required, and the candidate should have experience with current methods for encouraging student engagement, assessing learning, and evaluating technical writing.
