The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) is recruiting a faculty member at the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor to lead/direct the prostate cancer program (PCP), one of nine programs that comprise the NCI-supported Cancer Consortium which includes the Fred Hutch, University of Washington and Seattle Children?s Hospital. The faculty member will have a primary academic appointment in one of the seven Fred Hutch Scientific Divisions. In addition to leading the PCP, the scientist and/or physician will be expected to maintain a vibrant independent research program focused on prostate cancer. This position will be a full-time, multi-year appointment.
We will consider PhD, MD/PhD, or MD scientists and physicians working in areas that include, but are not limited to: primary prevention, etiology, genetics/genomics, epigenetics, tumor microenvironment, metastasis, development of novel therapeutics, therapeutic resistance, biomarkers, DNA damage response, steroid receptors, immunotherapy/immunology, systems-biology, and/or computational-biology. Applicants should embrace a role in establishing a program vision that encompasses diverse faculty interests, maintains and enhances a highly collaborative research environment, leverages a robust infrastructure and orientation toward translational science, and develops the careers of junior faculty. A track record of leadership, relevant impactful publications, and funding commensurate with appointment level is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will enter a dynamic and highly collaborative research environment as a member of the Prostate Cancer Program and will benefit from the infrastructure and resources available through the Pacific Northwest Prostate Cancer SPORE and the Institute for Prostate Cancer Research. They will have opportunities to collaborate with scientists across a wide array of disciplines. Collaborations may be enhanced via joint and/or affiliate appointments at the University of Washington, depending upon mutual interests.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $200,000 to $520,000 for faculty hired at the Associate Professor rank, from $219,168 to $610,520 for faculty hired at the Professor rank. Pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. Pay for Faculty positions is based on a variety of factors, including degree, specialty, clinical practice and experience. This position is eligible for relocation assistance.?Other compensation associated with this position may include an Administrative Supplement (ADS) in addition to base pay.
