Summary of Duties:
The laboratory of Dr. Hui Zhang in the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences invites applications for a temporary, full-time, non-tenure track, 12-month position as a Postdoctoral Research Associate.
Research in the Zhang Laboratory will be focused on exploring the function of double-negative T (DN T) cells in antitumor immunity and cancer immunotherapy. DN T cells play a pivotal role in initiating antitumor immune response and shaping tumor microenvironment. Deciphering the underlying mechanism will allow us to develop a new paradigm for cancer immunotherapy. We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated scientist to contribute to this exciting research project. This project is funded by an NIH/NCI R01 grant. Responsibilities:
Design and conduct experiments and data analysis.
Draft manuscripts and presentations.
Provide research expertise to assist lab members, including graduate students, undergraduate students, research interns, and technicians as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences, such as Immunology, Cancer Biology, Cell Biology, or closely related fields with extensive expertise in molecular biology and cell biology.
Hands-on experience in Immunology and Cancer Biology, such as animal models, flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, in vivo and in vitro bioassays.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience in bulk/single-cell RNA Seq and bioinformatics.

Annual Salary: $57,958.00 - $60,000.00;commensurate with qualifications and experience. In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

This is a temporary position expected end on October 31, 2025. The potential for renewal is available dependent on satisfactory performance and mutual consent.
