Exciting opportunity for motivated research technician to join a translational laboratory studying various aspects of cellular adaptive immunity, especially in relation to T regulatory cell characterization, function and expansion, as well as the effects of various immune manipulations. We have a history of successfully conducting basic and preclinical experiments on new biologic agents and translating them into the clinic, inclluding clinical trials studying the administration of T regulatory cells in solid organ transplant settings and in cancer.

A successful candidate will have the following characteristics:
Reliable, organized, and flexible with ability to handle multiple activities and to reprioritize tasks
Understands lab etiquette and participation in general laboratory responsibilities (ordering and organizing laboratory supplies and reagents)
Perform experiments after usual instruction and supervision
Ability to analyze information in real-time and use logic to address work-related issues and problems
Must be attentive to detail and be thorough in completing work tasks
Able to work with other team members and collaborators as well as complete independent work and show initiative
Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in order to work in a team environment.
Able to work under the supervision of PI and staff scientists to analyze data and interpret results of experiments and participate in or take responsibility for generation of lab guidelines and protocols
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research Technician
No supervisory responsibilities. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.
Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree with some experience and desire to learn considered. Coursework in related fields (such as Immunology, Molecular Biology, Quantitative Sciences and Engineering) a plus. Relevant experience in academia or industry strongly preferred.
Preference given to candidates with adaptive and/or innate immunology experience, including assay development; cell imaging and analysis, isolation and culture of peripheral blood cells for characterization, purification, and cryopreservation; sterile technique; cell-based assays including mixed lymphocyte culture and use of various molecular biology and immunology techniques to assess immune responses. Gene editing experience a plus.
Other relevant experience includes multianalyte analysis from media or cell lysates (e.g. Luminex), ELISA, DNA and RNA isolation, PCR and RT-PCR, gene editing, various microarray technologies. Assay development and adaptation experience a strong plus.
Experience with flow cytometry, use of Flow Jo desirable
Experience in analyzing biological data using GraphPad Prism and Excel required.
Experience using existing software programs, web-based interactive tools, or database queries as sequence management, array analysis and other analytic needs evolve.
We are looking for candidates who have at least two years of availability.
Highly desirable
Experience using bioinformatics tools to visualize, processing and analyzing genomic or other molecular data using software packages, statistical applications, or data mining techniques, including use pf publicly available datasets.
Maintain awareness of new and emerging computational methods and technologies.
Prior programming experience in scripting languages such as Python, R etc.
Experience with FACS-based ELISA methods such as LEGENDplex assay and software
Experience with Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
