Our group at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is looking for an exceptional Research Scientist to conduct research on the use of Wharton?s jelly (WJ) mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) to counter systemic inflammation and the effects of aging via a multiomics approach and humanized mouse studies.As we age, there is a gradual increase in inflammatory markers and activation of the immune system leading to a state of chronic low-grade inflammation or "inflammaging," which is characterized by elevated levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines, acute phase proteins, and inflammatory markers in the blood and tissues.
