A Research Lab Technician position is immediately available in Dr. Beiyun Zhou's lab at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. The lab is interested in identifying novel mediator/pathways responsible for alveolar epithelial cells (AEC) dysfunction and fibrosis in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).The appointee will assist with routine molecular biology, biochemistry, histological/imaging that is conducted in the laboratory. The successful applicant will be expected to have knowledge for molecular biology, skills for cell culture, qRT-PCR and Western blotting as well as excellent data management, record keeping, communication, and team building.
