The lab studies the human genetics of pediatric neurological disorders including Chiari I malformation, syringomyelia and hydrocephalus. The three main areas of focus are 1) collecting and sequencing DNA from patients; 2) testing disease-related hypotheses in zebrafish; and 3) performing high-throughput functional assays of disease-related genes.
