General Responsibilities

• To employ a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures in a particular field of specialization.

• To plan, coordinate and conduct research.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Plans, coordinates and conducts scientific research requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard scientific techniques.

2. Writes grant applications, carries projects to completion and supervises/trains employees and students.

3. Designs, performs and/or oversees experiments and data collection to ensure data integrity, quality control and protocol compliance.

4. Collects, analyzes and interprets data; prepares statistical and narrative reports and/or graphs.

5. Supervises and/or performs equipment maintenance, operations and quality control procedures.

6. Performs and/or oversees new research procedures.

7. Serves as principal investigator on sub-projects of complexities.

8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Annual Salary Range $63,125.00 - $75,000.00

Qualifications

Preferences

• PHD in a related field.

• Extensive experience in high resolution mass spectrometry.

• Extensive experience in MS data analysis and interpretation, specifically protein glycosylation analysis.

• Experience in bioinformatics workflow development of complex proteomic data sets.
