In the Bell Lab, the post doctoral scholar will conduct genetic and molecular biological experiments to elucidate the molecular mechanisms that establish, maintain and modulate chromosome conformation in archaea. The Post Doc scholar will have experience in culturing and genetic manipulation of archaea and should possess an extensive skillset in bioinformatic analyses of next-generation sequencing data. In addition to performing research projects, the position holder will help to mentor graduate and undergraduate students, lead and/or participate in group lab meetings, assist with publication writing, and attend conferences as appropriate on behalf of the lab. Ph.D. in a Biological Science is required; Experience with Bioinformatics tools is required
