Nemours is seeking a Genetics Counselor in Wilmington, DE. Primary Function - The purpose of this position is to improve precise and cost effective genetic testing for Nemours patients. As a member of the Genetic Testing Stewardship Program (GTSP) in Precision Medicine, the GC will provide information about genetic testing and its results to ordering clinicians. This GC will be a resource to clinicians within the Nemours system who seek to order genetic testing. The GC will facilitate genome-level testing (panels, exome/genome testing) across all specialties and will review genetic test requests for appropriateness to avoid duplicate, unnecessary or inappropriate testing.
