Research Postdoctoral Fellow - Targeting tumor-promoting cells in rhabdomyosarcoma
General DescriptionA Postdoctoral Research Fellowship position is offered in the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine under the mentorship of Dr. Patience Odeniyide. Our lab is interested in molecularly targeted therapies for rhabdomyosarcomas (RMS) driven by RAS-pathway alterations. We seek to understand how genomic alterations drive cancer phenotypes, and how they can be effectively inhibited by small-molecule therapeutics. Our program is seeking an ambitious and highly motivated person to lead studies focused on targeting tumor-promoting cancer stem cells in pediatric rhabdomyosarcoma. Tumor-promoting cells drive chemotherapy resistance and treatment relapse
