The Department of Pediatrics at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine has an immediate opening for a Genetic Counselor/Genetic Specialist in the Division of Genetics and Metabolism.  General pediatric & adult as well as specialty genetic counseling services are provided.  Patients are seen in Springfield and outreach clinics.  Responsibilities include patient care as well as teaching medical students and residents.  Minimum qualifications for this position include Master’s Degree in Genetic Counseling and Board Eligible for certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling.  Board Certification by ABGC is preferred.
