Position Summary: Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Student Assistants for NJMS-  Microbiology, Biochemistry & Molecular Genetics. The purpose of this position under the direction of the Principal Investigator, will be to analyze tissues using standard cellular, molecular, and biochemical procedures from mice infected with microbes. He/She should be able to perform mice tissue analysis under the PI's or postdoctoral fellows' supervision. These studies are conducted to determine the impact of tick-borne pathogens, Borrelia burgdorferi that causes Lyme disease and Babesia microti, which is a hemoparasite that infects Red Blood Cells (RBCs).
