The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) and Childrens Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Medical Genetics, are actively seeking a full-time faculty member for the position of Assistant/Associate/ Professor of Clinical Pediatrics.
The candidate will be working with a team of dedicated physicians, metabolic nutritionist, nurse, genetic counselors, and social worker at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. Clinical and translational research opportunities are also available. The successful candidate will have clinical and teaching responsibilities. Independent research is strongly encouraged. There are several research/clinical/education tracks available, depending upon the qualifications and interest of the applicant.
In addition to our outpatient activities, our inpatient service is closely involved with genetic and metabolic patients in the neonatal and pediatric intensive care units and other hospital wards. We provide close consultative support for babies, children and adolescents with a wide variety of complex and rare disorders. We have growing fetal-maternal, telemedicine, and cardiogenomic centers as well as opportunities for expansion of our neurogenetic multidisciplinary program. We encourage the development of other clinical multispecialty programs commensurate with the interest of the candidate. Advancement in an academic career is supported by intramural funding and strong mentorship. Relocation expenses are provided, and the position includes a generous benefits and retirement package.
The applicant must have an MD/DO and be board certified in pediatrics or other primary care specialty. In addition, the successful candidate must beboard certified or eligible in clinicalgenetics.
The annual base salary range for this position is $95,904-$325,7.
