Research Technician Associate
The Department of Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics, University of Michigan is seeking a research tech associate to aid in the application of relevant software tools, including the PALMER package, a computational tool to detect non-reference MEI events developed by the lab, through the evaluation of similar packages' performances of detection. This position will also investigate the modification of PALMER to identify somatic nuclear mitochondrial events in single-cell whole genome data. Individuals will also be expected to explore machine learning algorithms for detecting genomic structural variation and to participate with ongoing collaborative work, building statistical and analyti
