Assistant Professor of Plant Genetics & Crop Breeding
The Department of Plant & Environmental Sciences at NMSU is searching for an Assistant Professor of Plant Genetics & Crop Breeding. This is a 9 month tenure track position 70% research, 30% teaching.  The incumbent will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in plant genetics, breeding, and molecular genetics that reflect the critical needs of the department, the college's Genetics and Biotechnology major, and the candidate's area of expertise., Research will focus on NMSU's long­ standing alfalfa breeding program for improved water use efficiency, abiotic stress tolerance, high yield, and nutritional value.
