The primary function of this role is supporting MCC trainees (early career faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and students) by developing and implementing resources, events, and opportunities that enable their career development, with a particular focus on engaging trainees from communities that have been historically underrepresented in science. Diversifying the cancer research and care workforce is critical to advancing science and addressing the pressing needs of increasingly diverse patient populations in Minnesota and across the United States.
