Position description The School of Biological Sciences (https://biology.ucsd.edu/), Department of Molecular Biology, invites applications for two faculty positions in Molecular Biology at the tenure-track Assistant Professor level. Candidates pursuing innovative research in the general area of Computational Molecular Biology are encouraged to apply; applicants with fully dry / computational labs are strongly preferred. We are particularly interested in candidates that foster equity and inclusion. Potential areas of interest include, but are not limited to, studies focused on development of novel computational methods in biophysics, structural biology, genomics, genetics, and bioinformatics with applications ranging from image analysis for cryo-EM, cryo-ET, and advanced light microscopy to AI/ML-based modeling of protein structure-function- evolution as well as dynamic intracellular processes.
