Two technician positions are available in the Rebay Lab at the University of Chicago. We are seeking motivated individuals interested in gaining further research experience for 1-2 years prior to applying to PhD or MD/PhD programs. The lab uses the developing Drosophila eye, wing and heart to study how cell fates are specified and organized into functional tissues and organs. Our experimental approach is multidisciplinary, and incorporates molecular genetics, genomics, quantitative imaging, biochemistry and mathematical modeling. Former techs have enrolled in top tier graduate programs including MIT, Duke, UCSF, Stanford, Northwestern and UChicago.
