The Lowry Lab at Michigan State University is searching for a postdoctoral research associate to conduct analyses of multiple existing genomic data sets (Genome assembly, ATAC-seq, RNA-seq) that have been recently produced in the yellow monkeyflower Mimulus guttatus. The position will also include opportunities to develop new research directions related to currently funded research on the evolution of oceanic salt spray tolerance in M. guttatus. Required Degree
Doctorate -Biological Sciences
Minimum Requirements
PhD in the field of the Biological Sciences. Greater than five years of experience working with plants.
Desired Qualifications
Ability to analyze various types of genomic data sets, including ATAC-seq, RNA-seq, Whole Genome Assembly, and Population Genomics. Prior experience working with Mimulus guttatus. Experience conducting molecular biology research.
