The Department of Preventive Medicine of University of Southern California (USC) is in search of a Research Lab Technician who can assist with ongoing research on the underlying causes of human cancer.
The ideal candidate is expected to have working knowledge of and hands-on experience with standard molecular biology techniques, including but not limited to, cell culture, and biochemical assays for detection of DNA damage, mutation, and aberrant gene expression. Familiarity with microarray and/or next-generation-sequencing based methods is a plus.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelorâs degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry or related field.
- One year of experience working in a research laboratory.
This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance evaluation.

The hourly rate range for this position is $20.76 - $25.22.
