A Research Postdoctoral Fellowship position is offered in the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine under the mentorship of Dr. Yang Ding. The Ding Lab in the Division of Oncology takes a multidisciplinary approach with strong wet lab and dry lab synergy and focus towards clinical translation for children with cancer. We leverage expertise in clinical medicine, experimental genomics, and systems biology to develop improved combination precision medicine for children with leukemias that are more effective with less toxicity. Our research combines cutting-edge technologies with collaborative and interdisciplinary expertise in bioinformatics, functional genomics, and clinical medicine. We are seeking an ambitious and highly motivated person to lead studies focused on elucidating the mechanisms of leukemia resistance and relapse. The work will involve studies in human leukemia samples, cell lines, and modeling studies in mice with the use of latest tools, such as CRISPR/Cas9 methodologies, next generation sequencing technologies (scRNAseq, scATACseq, ChIP-seq etc), high-dimensional flow cytometry, and drug screens. The Research Postdoctoral Fellow will be responsible for the conceptualization, design, and statistical analyses of research studies in the study of pediatric leukemias, as well as the drafting of these studies in academic manuscripts. In this role you will also be involved in presenting our research at national and international meetings and conferences such as at ASH and AACR.

Qualifications
Applicants must have a PhD. and /or M.D. degree (or anticipate receiving their degree in the near future) with less than five years of postdoctoral experience. Applicants should have the ability to carry out independent research, a strong interest in interdisciplinary approaches and have published articles in peer-reviewed journals. Training in genomics, molecular biology, oncology, immune-oncology, or bioinformatics is preferred.
