Researcher 6 - Dept. of Microbiology and Immunology
The Department of Microbiology is seeking a computational biologist (Researcher 6) to join the Langlois laboratory and the Antiviral Drug Discovery Center (AViDD). The Langlois lab aims to understand how viruses interact with their hosts. To achieve this we use a number of molecular biology, sequencing and computational approaches to analyze large, complex, multidimensional data. AViDD aims to find therapeutic interventions to help prevent and treat future viral pandemics. The Cellular and Organismic Systems Core supports the entire Midwest AViDD Center by coordinating and implementing cell and animal antiviral testing experiments for the entire center.
