Vaccination for COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) is mandatory for all MSK staff. Staff are considered fully vaccinated upon completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19 (i.e., one dose of a single dose vaccine or a final dose of a multi-dose vaccine series). Exceptions from the COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) vaccine requirements are permitted for those who request and receive an approved medical, religious, or fully remote exemption. Requests for exemption can take up to two weeks to review. Vaccination or an approved exemption is required to start work.

Job Description

Role of IRAK4/IMiD degrader in B-cell Malignancies

Jennifer K. Lue, MD and Jayanta Chaudhuri, PhD

Dr. Lue is a physician-scientist and maintains an active practice as a medical oncologist treating patients with lymphoid malignancies. Dr. Chaudhuri is a Professor in the Immunology Program at Sloan Kettering Institute whose lab studies the mechanism of immunoglobulin gene diversification. Together, they are recruiting a post-doctoral scientist with a strong interest in basic and translational research focused on the use of novel protein degraders against IRAK4 and IMiD substrates in B-cell malignancies. Mechanistic studies using standard molecular biology assays, bioinformatics, as well as mouse modeling are core to the research program. Candidates should have a strong molecular and tumor biology background with a particular interest in lymphoid malignancies. The candidate will have the opportunity to interact with investigators with expertise in lymphoma biology, immunology, translational therapeutics and have a potential exposure to correlative studies associated with clinical trials.

PhD or MD/PhD equivalent in biological science is required. Proficiency with molecular biology, biochemistry, mice models, RNA-seq, biospecimen handling, DNA, RNA, and protein assays is required.
