Responsibilities:Conduct research and provide technical assistance to the PI, postdocs, students, and trainees in the lab on areas of next generationsequencing, PCR and bioinformatics (70%).Collaborate with PI in the consortium (NSF-USDA-EEID) in the generation and testing of research hypotheses and data analysis,writing of papers, grants, and reports, and preparation of presentations and lectures (15%)Attend, participate, or present at laboratory meetings, seminars, graduate and undergraduate lectures, and conferences as needed(5%)Perform miscellaneous laboratory and office duties as assigned by Dr Schroeder including, but not limited to, ordering supplies andreagents and help the PIs in the organization and coordination
