The Department of Biological Chemistry and Pharmacology in the College of Medicine (https://medicine.osu.edu/departments/bcpharm) at The Ohio State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. The successful candidate will join a vibrant, collaborative, and collegial department at The Ohio State University. The successful applicant will have an established research program in biochemistry, pharmacology or molecular genetics/genomics that will complement existing departmental and university strengths in RNA biology, chromosome biology, structural biology, neurological disorders, and metabolism.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. and postdoctoral research experience. A proven record of research accomplishments in biochemistry, molecular biology or molecular genetics and a strong publication record are required. Appointment is contingent on the universitys verification of credentials and other information required by law and/or university policies; Requires successful completion of a background check; qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.

Tenure faculty (regardless of rank) - persons with the titles of professor, associate professor, assistant professor and instructor who serve on appointments totaling 50% or more service to the university and who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. Duties and responsibilities are assigned in accordance with the workload guidelines laid out in the pattern of administration of each faculty members tenure initiation unit (TIU) and, as appropriate, regional campus; obligations will include research, service and/or teaching or clinical practice. These faculty will have earned doctorate or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study or possession of equivalent experience.
