The Erle lab at UCSF is seeking a Staff Research Associate I (SRA) who is interested in studying airway epithelial cell biology and its relevance to various diseases. The SRA will join a team of scientists conducting experiments central to the lab's research efforts in investigating airway epithelial cell and molecular biology.

This individual will contribute to research projects by generating datasets and testing hypotheses using methods established in the lab including primary human cell culture, flow cytometry, gene targeting using CRISPR-Cas9 and gene expression analysis. The position will work closely with other experienced lab members, develop additional research skills, and contribute to development of new research directions in the lab. Training will be provided in cell culture work or other duties as needed.

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.

For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
