Staff Research Associate 2 (SRA 2 NEX)Department Description The Hagerman Laboratory within the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine uses molecular techniques to characterize neurological disorders related to the FMR1 gene, specifically, fragile X syndrome (FXS) and fragile X-associated tremor/ataxia syndrome (FXTAS). Principal effort continues to be directed to the molecular characterization of gene expression and cellular pathways that underlie the pathogenesis of these disorders.
