The Shafer Lab within the Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University is seeking a Scientific Data Curator 2 to conduct research using informatics tools and methods and participate in the development of web-based databases used to solve formal and practical problems arising from the management and analysis of scientific data.The Shafer Lab maintains the Stanford HIV Drug Resistance Database (HIVDB; https://hivdb.stanford.edu) as a public resource for those performing HIV drug resistance surveillance, interpreting HIV drug resistance tests, and developing new antiretroviral drugs. HIVDB's sequence analysis programs have been integrated int
