A post-doctoral research associate position is available in Dr. Bhabesh Dutta's Vegetable Pathology Program (https://site.caes.uga.edu/duttalab/) at the University of Georgia, Tifton to work on the host-resistance against whitefly-transmitted virus complex in vegetable crops. The incumbent will utilize state-of-the-art technologies but not limited to genomics, computational biology, greenhouse and field-based phenotyping, gene mapping, and GWAS. The candidate will work on pathosystems that will include snap bean-whitefly-transmitted virus complex. The candidate should have working experience with genomes and transcriptomes, and will handle “big data”.
