Postdoctoral Research Associate
Princeton UniversityA postdoctoral research associate or more senior position is available in the group of Jonathan Conway in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Princeton University to study and engineer thermophilic lignocellulose-degrading enzymes and organisms for biofuel processes. In this project, we will identify and characterize thermophilic cellulase and hemicellulase enzymes to degrade recalcitrant components of plant biomass for integration in first- and second-generation biofuel processes. For the most promising enzyme candidates, protein engineering will be used to maximize enzyme expression and improve stability at biofuel process conditions. Related projects to understand protein structure-function and genetically manipulate extr
