With a long history of research excellence, innovative teaching, collaboration and collegiality, and emphasis on equity, social responsibility and justice, our departments are looking for a colleague who will contribute expertise in the area of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), which may include human-information interaction, human factors in technology, intelligent information interfaces, information visualization, sociotechnical systems, human-robot interaction, virtual reality and augmented reality, fair and responsible artificial intelligence, and other interrelated areas.
Responsibilities include:
Maintain an active and productive research agenda commensurate with a Research 1 tenure-track faculty appointment
Seek external grant funding
Teach a total of four courses each year, two within the Department of Information Science and two within the Department of Computer Science
Advise Information Science master's and Ph.D. students
Participate in professional activities and serving on department, school, and university committees

About The Department of Information Science The Department of Information Science offers the following programs: an ALA-accredited MS in Information and Library Science, MS in School Librarianship, an Advanced Studies Certificate, and a Ph.D. in Information Science.
