Duke University Hospital, Department of Pathology seeks a full-time, surgical pathologist with experience and interest in gynecologic pathology.
Applicants should have board certification in anatomic pathology and ideally be fellowship trained in gynecologic pathology, alternatively general surgical pathology with an interest and strong experience in gynecologic pathology.
Competitive candidates are those highly committed to patient care and teaching, who have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and who seek to advance the field of pathology through original and collaborative scholarship. Ability to cover a second diagnostic area in cytology (including FNA), ENT, GU, or bone and soft tissue is highly desirable. Board certification in anatomic (+/- clinical pathology) and eligibility for licensure in the State of North Carolina are required. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with training and experience.
Duke Gynecologic Pathology Division: Diagnostic responsibilities include the full range of neoplastic and non-neoplastic gynecologic pathology, including placental pathology. Duke has a large gynecologic oncology division and the gynecologic pathology division sees a robust number of gynecologic malignancies. This work is supported by state-of-the-art histology, biomarker testing, molecular diagnostics, and cytogenetics laboratories, world-class bioinformatics and core facilities. An excellent training program with fellows, residents, and medical students complements the clinical functions.
