Summary of Duties:
The laboratory of Dr. Boyang (Jason) Wu in the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences invites applications for a temporary full-time, non-tenure-track, 12-month appointment as a Postdoctoral Research Associate.The research will be focused on molecular/cellular and preclinical studies on 1) understanding of androgenic and neural signaling and their contributions to antiandrogen drug resistance in castration-resistant and neuroendocrine prostate cancer, and 2) characterizing tumor-stromal interactions underlying prostate cancer growth, progression and metastasis. Required Qualifications:
A Ph.D. degree in Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology/Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field, awarded within the past five years.
Proven track record of self-motivation, creativity and productivity.
Strong oral/written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with xenograft mouse models of human cancers, especially prostate cancer.
Previous experience with CRISPR screening.
Previous experience with bioinformatic data mining.

Annual Salary: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00; commensurate with qualifications and experience. In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

Overtime Eligibility: This position is eligible for overtime. FTE: 100% Permanent/Temporary: This is a temporary position expected end on August 31, 2024. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.
