Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Principal Statistician in Biostatistics at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
The primary role of Principal Statistician is to perform statistical programming, data management, and data analysis under the direction of Biostatistics faculty members to fulfill our commitment to the research projects required by the NCI Cancer Center Supporting Grant.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Provide statistical support for research projects as directed by the faculty members of Biostatistics Shared Resource.
Prepare dataset appropriate for statistical data analysis, e.g., cleaning up data, merging data, and reformatting data, etc.
Perform statistical data analysis and statistical computing using SAS and/or R.
Write draft memos or reports of data analysis results.
Assist with writing for professional presentations and manuscripts for publication.
Manage and maintain study databases.
Generate and maintain randomization list for clinical trials.
Assist the faculty members at Biostatistics Shared Resource in research, grant and consulting activities.
Participate in statistical consulting, education, and training activities.
Assist projects managing and reporting for the Director of Biostatistics Shared Resource.
Participate lifelong learning in keeping abreast of current statistical techniques.
Minimum Education and Experience:
A Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Computational Biology, or related field.
Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirement.
