Two postdoctoral positions are available in Dr. Jian-Qiu Wus laboratory at Department of Molecular Genetics, The Ohio State University (OSU). The positions are funded by National Institutes of Health. The Wu lab studies molecular mechanisms of cytokinesis and related cellular processes in the fission yeast S. pombe using complementary molecular, cellular, biochemical, genetic, microscopic (confocal, super-resolution, and electron microscopy), and computational approaches. Ideal candidates will conduct research to understand molecular mechanisms of cytokinesis in fission yeast, assist in training graduate and undergraduate researchers, and prepare manuscripts for publications.

Qualifications:
Highly motivated and energetic candidates with recent Ph.D. degrees (or senior graduate students) in related fields and strong publication records (at least one or two first-author research articles) are encouraged to apply.

Term of hire:
