Position Summary:
Incumbent is responsible for developing clinical data analysis and predictive modeling. Responsible for following the data, exploring diverse modeling approaches, and communicating results. Involves developing and utilizing computational tools and systems to analyze and interpret data. Utilizes and develops algorithms, computational techniques, and statistical methodologies. Implements customer needs in database searching and integration. Maintains the computational infrastructure and tracks the flow of information. Uses bioinformatics tools to visualize data and communicate results to clinical research community.
Salary Range:
Annual Rate Minimum $93,700.00 Midpoint $152,500.00 Maximum $211,300.00
Required Qualifications:
Ability to lead projects or portions of larger projects
Ability to customize Business Intelligence tools to meet user needs
Ability to translate business questions and requirements into reports, templates and analytical views
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong problem solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related field and/or combination of education and equivalent work experience
Experience implementing models in R, python or other relevant languages
Experience with clinical data query and analysis to extract insights to research questions
Understanding of clinical data types and how to link data sets from diverse sources
Minimum of 3 years' experience developing models using clinical informatics and collaborating with clinical domain experts
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership Common Data Model (OMOP-CDM), and experience transforming data sets into OMOP schema
Experience with management, analysis and collection of Real World Evidence (RWE) data to support RWE initiatives
Experience working with very large clinical datasets
Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
Knowledge of University and medical center organizational structure, policies, procedures, and forms
