Position Title: Research Support Specialist, Pharmacy

Position Summary:

• Use, monitor, and maintain laboratory equipment in support of laboratory research. Prepare, qualify, and maintain reagents for laboratory developed tests
• Provide support for laboratory resource inventories and associated records including program associated record and receiving shipments of clinical study samples as well as maintaining inventory and integrity of these samples
• Assist in external accreditation and vendor audits of the laboratory
• Contribute to technical reports and other laboratory reports, and documents as needed; complete according to timeline(s) and deadline(s).
• Complete annual training and continuing education as required by the institution, sponsor, and laboratory policies

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or a related field with applicable laboratory experience
• Technical experience with proper use and routine maintenance of basic laboratory equipment such as automatic pipettors, analytical balances, mixers, centrifuges, safety hoods/cabinets, pH meters, etc.
• Familiar with proper laboratory documentation, safety, and etiquette

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a research or clinical laboratory environment using separation sciences for drug concentration measurements
• Technician or Technologist for clinical laboratories with a licensure from NYS Department of Education
• Technical testing experience using hybrid mass spectrometry technology and its associated sample preparation technique(s)
