Overview

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington.

Responsibilities

A Post-Doctoral Research Fellow position is available in Dr. Chongzhi Di's group at the Biostatistics Program of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. The successful applicant will develop and apply statistical methods for wearables and mobile health data (e.g., accelerometers, continuous heart rate, smartphone apps, etc.). Fellow will engage in methodological research in functional data analysis, repeated measurement data, and design and analysis for mHealth-based adaptive interventions. The Fellow will also be expected to participate in large-scale epidemiologic studies that utilize mHealth tools, which provides direct motivations for developing cutting-edge analytical methods to address challenges in these data.

Qualifications

The applicants should have a PhD or equivalent degree in Statistics, Biostatistics or other related fields. The candidate should have solid training in statistical methods, excellent computational and communication skills. In addition, background in functional data analysis and/or wearables and mHealth is a plus.

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center has a mandatory COVID-19 vaccine requirement, with exceptions only for approved medical or religious accommodations. The annual base salary range for this position is from $65,484 to $100,000 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
