Under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator and senior lab personnel, the incumbent will be responsible for the care of transgenic mouse colonies belonging to the Masri lab (including genotyping); general lab maintenance; ordering; routine experiments in molecular biology; protocol compliance; and other technical duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator.

$21.26 - $25.00 (hourly)
Required:
Ability to schedule experiments and maintain accurate records of all studies and tests performed. Background in biological sciences, equivalent to a bachelor's degree. At least 2 years experience in a laboratory environment including, but not limited to, tissue culture, sterile technique, molecular genetics, buffer/reagent preparation, animal husbandry, and genotyping. Willingness to work with animals, radioactivity, and biological hazards. Knowledge and abilities to properly coordinate the maintenance of a lab facility to include, but not be limited to, preparation of tissue culture reagents, stocking of shelves, clean-up and decontamination duties, overseeing maintenance of animal colony, specific cell culture manipulations and histological techniques, and compliance with safety and record keeping requirements. Interpersonal communication skills to work with others including P.I., lab faculty and staff, administrative staff, vendors, etc.
