Post-Doctoral Associate - The Hormel Institute (Bioengineering/Gene Therapy)
Position SummaryThe lab research is focused on bioengineering and application of Adeno-Associated virus (AAV) vectors for purpose of gene therapy. The research addresses several important drawbacks in AAV-based gene therapy such as vector efficiency, pre-existing and therapy-activated immunogenicity, scaled up vector production, assessment of efficacy in the large pre-clinical animal models, such as dogs, pigs, NHP. The goal of our research to ensure an advancement of gene therapy treatment for patients with genetic diseases.ResponsibilitiesConduct research in a self-sufficient and self-motivated manner;Conduct experiments on novel viral vectors design, development and validation;Development of novel protocol
