We are seeking a Senior Biostatistician at the Center for Clinical Trials and Evidence Synthesis at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. The Sr. Biostatistician will be responsible for data management and analysis of multicenter clinical trials. The person will supervise research data analyst and work with principal investigators to analyze and manage data from studies. The Center serves as data coordinating center for multiple multicenter trials.
The Center for Clinical Trials and Evidence Synthesis (CCT&ES) is an interdisciplinary group of researchers and educators centered in the Department of Epidemiology of the JHU BSPH. The Center mission is to guide and inspire research, scholarship, and intellectual engagement, in the Johns Hopkins community and globally, in the areas of clinical trials and evidence-based healthcare. Faculty, students, and staff are actively engaged in the conduct of clinical trials, prospective cohort studies, and evidence synthesis activities (such as meta-analyses of clinical trials data). There are two group office suites, one located at Wolfe Street in the main BSPH building and a second located 2 blocks away on Washington Street, both offices are on the campus of the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions in east Baltimore, Maryland.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Work with a multidisciplinary group on clinical trials and longitudinal other studies related to respiratory health.
Collaborate with investigators on research projects with primary responsibility for analysis and presentation of project data.
Provide integration and analysis of biodata from multiple sources (e.g. spirometry, actigraphy, multiple studies and biobank datasets, including genomics, epigenetics, proteomics, metabolomics).
Provide expertise in statistical design, data management, and data analysis.
Contribute to the development and application of statistical methods to advance scientific goals of various projects.
Serve as lead Biostatistician with investigators to develop objectives, design sampling, randomization, and statistical analysis plans to achieve study objectives.
Design and perform appropriate methodologic procedures for statistical analysis, overall descriptive statistics, exploratory data analyses, including graphs, schematic summaries, and necessary transformations and confirmatory data analyses, including statistical tests and/or modeling.
Design, implement, and manage computerized systems for analysis of complex research projects to prepare scientific presentations related to study results.
Perform sample size and power calculations, generates randomization schema, and prepares statistical sections for research protocols and manuscripts.
Participates in regularly scheduled meeting with investigators and team that require statistical input.
Design tables and statistical procedures for specific research studies.
Write statistical design, methods, and analysis for manuscripts and research proposals.
Analyze data and prepare tables for interim and final reports.
Develop and apply new statistical methodologies.
Ensure data integrity and compliance with security policies governed by HIPAA and the Johns Hopkins IRB.
Oversight of one or more professional team members and project milestones.
Prepare progress reports and present to trial leadership.
Other duties as assigned.
Master's Degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or related quantitative field.
Three years related experience in Biostatistics.
3 years of experience with programming in SAS, R or an equivalent analysis program.
3 years of statistical analysis using SAS, R and/or STATA.
