Research Technician - Pediatric Oncology Rowe Lab
The Rowe Lab is interested on understanding how early life development impacts the function of immune cells, known as T cells in children. In young individuals T cells have different function and differentiation fates than those from adult individuals. Our lab utilizes a combination of cellular immunology, transcriptomic, and metabolomic tools to understand the biology behind this developmentally mediated regulation of immune cell fate. We use a combination of primary human samples and in vivo mouse models of diseases to answer these questions related to childhood health. We use these foundational studies to understand the how these processes, occurring naturally during childhood, impact the ability of children???s immune systems to protect them from infections and pediatr
