Position Announcement:
The Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics of the Indiana University School of Medicine is recruiting a Board-certified/Board Eligible M.D., or MD/PhD, or PhD for a Clinical Laboratory Director role in the Division of Diagnostic Genomics.
We are soliciting applications from outstanding candidates with demonstrated experience in both Clinical Molecular and Cytogenetic laboratory diagnostics. The Division of Diagnostic Genomics includes five CLIA-certified and CAP-accredited clinical laboratories: Molecular Genetics, Cytogenetics, Pharmacogenomics, Biochemical Genetics and the newly established Genomics Laboratory performing high-throughput sequencing.
The successful candidate will participate in a busy and expanding diagnostic laboratory service, which offers prenatal, constitutional and oncology services for University and state-wide patient care. In addition, the individual will participate in our ACGME-accredited Laboratory Genetics and Genomics fellowship training program and participate in training residents and graduate students as part of the departmental teaching mission. The academic appointment, salary and benefit package is commensurate with qualifications. Certification by the ABMGG in both Clinical Molecular Genetics and Cytogenetics, or Laboratory Genetics and Genomics, is required.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate or Terminal degree is required. MD, or MD/PhD or PhD or equivalent required with Board Certification strongly preferred.
Strong experience in clinical molecular and cytogenetic laboratory diagnostics.
Certification by the ABMGG in Clinical Molecular Genetics and Cytogenetics, or Laboratory Genetics and Genomics is required.
